I am getting fed up with people saying that the French referendum result "changes everything" in Europe. It changes nothing. It was the constitution that would have changed things. The defeat of the constitution - which political leaders are failing to concede only because they don't want to exacerbate the size of the coming defeat in the Netherlands - means the current treaties continue to apply.
