Joe Wilson wanted to see Karl Rove dragged out of the White House in handcuffs. He and his wife are suing Rove together with Scooter Libby and Dick Cheney for 'outing' Wilson's wife, Valerie Plame.
It has never mattered to Wilson and Plame that revealing her name was not actually illegal. It has never mattered to them that they have suffered no loss, indeed must have made vast fortunes as well as much notoriety on the media circuit. But we now know Rove, Cheney and Libby didn't actually do the act for which they are being sued, and which Wilson suggested Rove should be arrested.
Surely THAT matters, even to people as partisan and twisted as Wilson and Plame. Surely they now have to drop the lawsuit? Surely, if Wilson wants to even pretend that he has any deceny in him, he will apologise?
Nah, thought not.
