The European Parliament is upset because some women in Romania are selling their ova to infertile women in the west. The result is that women in the west get the babies they want, and those in Romania get much needed cash. This is, apparently, not wrong in principle. The only "problem" is that some Romanian women are getting "too much" cash. Not too much by the standards of the European Parliaments generous salaries and expenses, but more than MEPs think they should get. "Too much" is defined as anything more than £15 ($29).
Everyone is happy with the current arrangements except members of the European Parliament. But they are not party to the deals, so a period of silence from them would be most welcome.
